One of the questions was about a famous pirate who singlehandedly destroyed an island community of Dragon Kings.. the details were sketchy since the question was identifying the pirate and the year it happened. Also I got the sense that the pirate killed every individual Dragon King but the terminology actually used was "turned to earth" (all of the questions were pseudo-poetry). My (wrong) answer was "Peleps ummm what's that word Kaizoku" and then I giggled because who can take that name seriously. But it wasn't a Kaizoku I guess.
There was also a short philosophical essay we had to read, and we had to identify the author of the essay and the author he was responding to and then answer some reading comprehension questions about the essay. And the essay was the first proposal for the "motes-as-HP simplification". Which replaced a much more complicated elemental theory of motes - I got that part right at least. Apparently one of the main advantages of the simplification was a mote-trading formula which let you easily convert measures from the 20-weight system to the standard 5-weight system (no, I don't know what that means), although the downside is that motes-as-HP really only applies to certain situations and you lose a lot of metamechanical support for whatever you're trying to do. (note: I did not think it was ridiculous that "HP" was a term or that "motes-as-HP" was seriously presented and did not break character).
Anyway I had arrived at class late so I didn't have time to finish the test and one of the two instructors took my unfinished test and was like 'this is what you get for being late' and started grading it right in front of me to kind of rub it in my face and was like 'see you lost 10 points there, and 10 points there...' and I responded "I don't care about points, I care about being right." And then he got scared and kind of went to the other side of the room to deal with someone else. So probably I was a DB and the instructor was patrician.
Also I had a bunch of stuffed animals with me? Like, five or six, and weird clothing. And everyone would avoid looking directly at me. Maybe they were supposed to be summoned demons, I don't know. It seemed perfectly natural that I was supposed to have them around and that everyone else should respect and fear me.
Anyway that was my dream of being a DB maybe-sorcerer in a Realm school, learning about motes-as-HP and a pirate who "turned to earth" an entire community of Dragon Kings.
